New Deloitte and Workplace alliance will focus on growing need for remote working tools

Deloitte's dedicated Workplace practice will help organizations find better ways for employees to connect, share ideas and collaborate
Millions of employees may be preparing to go back to work, but others will continue to work from home for the foreseeable future. This mixed workforce makes getting work done while maintaining a team culture difficult. But as the working world has found over the past few months, the right technology can close the gaps that COVID-19 creates, and make teams feel connected even when theyāre apart.
In fact, according to a new study, since the end of April, 90% of companies believe their culture has improved, 84% believe employee engagement has gone up, and 83% believe their employee experience is better.
The challenge for business leaders is to maintain this and to identify the tools their employees need as they return to work.
Announcing our alliance with Deloitte
Weāre delighted to announce weāll be working with Deloitte to help find a solution. In a first for the two companies, Deloitte will establish a new, dedicated Workplace practice within its Future of Work group that will include experts in employee experience transformation, configuration, technology integration, content, risk and cyber security. The current team of 10 will help clients explore how they can use Workplace to connect their organizations, revamp their tech stacks, collaborate with third parties via Multi-Company Groups and be more remote-friendly.
Deloitte Partner Giles Warner said, "Deloitte and Facebookās alliance will create new opportunities for employees to connect and share ideas, boosting productivity for organizations and interaction between teams. At a time when many desk-based employees are working from home, it's vital that businesses are able to deliver new platforms to allow people to engage with their colleagues.
āWorkplace has seen some incredible growth and weāre looking forward to working closely with them to bring new opportunities to organizations looking to boost productivity and collaboration."
Workplace VP Julien Codorniou added, āCompanies are now laser focused on serving both their employees and customers. As a result, weāre seeing an increase in demand for easy-to-use, mobile-first tools that enhance productivity, employee satisfaction and make communicating seamless.
āWorkplace passed the 5M paid user milestone in less than three years, and in the current environment weāre seeing a greater increase in demand. Weāre excited to work with Deloitte to serve the growing need for digital transformation and tech tools that make everyoneās working lives easier.ā
The two organizations have already worked together to deploy Workplace to companies including the British Olympic Association.
Andy Anson, CEO of the British Olympic Association, said: āEffective teamwork is central to our ethos at Team GB and needs to be built on strong communication. By working with Deloitte to implement Workplace from Facebook, groups from across Team GB are now able to share key information and personal updates, building a better sense of community and camaraderie. This has allowed and will increasingly allow us to prepare for the Games in a more innovative and effective way, fostering a better sense of cohesion across the team.ā
